Implant
Cases:
SINGLE
CASE:
Prior
to become our patient, this 42-year old has been wearing a removable
acrylic partial denture with which he was unhappy.
The patient rejected the traditional method of replacing the missing
tooth #8 (maxillary anterior right central incisor), which would
be a three unit fixed prosthesis.
After a clinical, Radiographic and medical examination of the patient
it was determined that this patient was a good candidate for a Single
Immediate Load Dental Implant (Sargon System) to support a free
standing permanent crown.
It was possible to place a 16mm Sargon Implant at the site of the
missing tooth #8 and at the same visit, the implant was loaded with
temporary crown, which was replaced within 2 weeks with a permanent
crown. The patient reported no pain, no swelling and no discomfort.
This was performed on the 20th of October 1995. The patient is still
performing and functioning very well up to date. The patient was
last seen on the 28th of January 2000.

MULTIPLE
IMPLANT CASE:
A
retired military man in the age of 65 had no teeth at the upper
maxillary left segment of his mouth, he had only retained roots
of teeth #10,13 and 14. He inquired a fixed prosthesis with Immediate
Load Implants.
After clinical, radiographic and medical examinations, it was determined
that he was a good candidate for multiple Immediate Load Implants
Surgery (Sargon System).
Using local anesthesia the retained roots of teeth #10,13,14 were
extracted. Five Immediate Load Dental Implants (Sargon System) were
placed in positions, replacing the extracted teeth and two more.
The two implants replacing already missing teeth # 12 and 15 were
placed in position through gingival tissue by using tissue punch
(no flap surgery was done to minimize post operative discomfort
to the patient).
Then the Implants were expanded into the surgical sites. This activation
or expansion occurs when a center screw is finger tightened, drawing
the expansion nut snugly into the body of the Implant, when this
expansion occurs, the Sargon Immediate Load Implant is mechanically
fixed in the bone.
This stability and strength is essential and often adequate for
a crown to be placed on it and put into function at the time of
surgery.
Having this stability (which must be maintained through the healing
period) gives Sargon Immediate Load Implant an advantage over other
Implants which require being buried under the gingival tissue for
four to six months before they can be loaded.
Then 5 splinted provisional acrylic crowns were Immediately placed
on the Implants. Cemented with calcium hydroxide post operative
medications, instructions also were given to the patient. He tolerated
the surgery very well, the patient and his wife were very pleased
with the immediate results. The patient was seen after 3 days for
post operative evaluations, he stated that he had no problems, no
pain and swelling and also he ate normally. This is why with Sargon
Immediate Load Dental Implant you get immediate results. Never before
available with other Implants.
This procedure was performed on the 27th of December 1995. The patient
is still functioning very well with the 5 Sargon Implants placed
at his upper maxillary left jaw. In two hours 5 implants were placed
with 5 provisional temporaries.
He had 9 more
Sargon Immediate Load Dental implants placed at later dates.
Patient was last seen at the end of year 1999 he does a great job
at maintaining his Implants and oral hygiene.
